Mulberry's Climbing Profits!

While the economy isn’t in the pink of health right now, Mulberry fights the gloom and reports an astounding £4.7 million profit in 2010. This is a far cry from the £1.5 million that the designer handbag label reported last year – and Mulberry surely isn’t complaining!

Mulberry has released its figures, and outstanding designer handbag sales are all one can see from them. Its Autumn/Winter 2010 orders increased by 100% compared to the same period last year. Up by 66%, too, are its like-for-like UK retail sales in full price stores and department store concessions from 10 weeks to 4 December 2010.

Growth followed with the opening of new Mulberry stores in Hong Kong, Qatar, and UAE. A new flagship store has been put in place on New Bond Street in London, while another one is coming soon in chic New York.

This designer handbag news affirms what has long been predicted: Mulberry will invade not only the UK, but also the United States and the other fashion districts of the world. As one would cryptically say, it will only be a matter of time.
